We regret to inform that shipments of the second batch of nileswan cartridges will be delayed past the announced deadline.
In late April, after the second batch order date, we have received a report from a customer concerning unreliable console startup with a batch 1 nileswan. We have managed to reproduce it on a monochrome WS console unit with one of the batch 2 cartridges. The issue is inconsistent - it only happens on some cartridges combined with some consoles. We believe that this is why it did not turn up in the year of internal development and testing preceding the cartridge’s release. As of writing, we are actively working to triage and resolve the issue.
We remain committed to only shipping products we can stand behind the quality of. To uphold this, we will only ship the cartridges as soon as we are confident they behave reliably on all WS/WSC consoles. We will provide an update as soon as the issue is resolved.
